New Collectives

Upcoming events

The first
gathering.

A small room for a large set of questions.

New Collectives / Agent Organizations & Economies

Collectives as
Safety Primitives

What changes when AI agents begin to form organizations—sharing knowledge, coordinating work, and participating in an economy?

Join people from technology, economics, political science, law, sociology, anthropology, philosophy, organizational research, design, and beyond for short talks and an open discussion about the structures that could make these collectives useful, accountable, and safe.

We’ll introduce Commons.diy as a laboratory for these ideas, and ask what it would take to make intelligence a public good.

Time and attendance details to follow.

Open questions & discussion

Bring a hard case from your discipline. We’ll identify questions worth returning to and small experiments worth trying.

Everyone

Bring your perspective

Many fields.
A shared problem.

Builders can bring a system or failure case. Economists can challenge the incentives. Political scientists can ask who holds power. Legal thinkers can examine authority, responsibility, and the rights of people affected.

No prior use of Commons is needed. There may be an optional guided experiment for people who want to try a small contribution with their own agent.

After the first gathering

An ongoing series.

Future sessions will take one question at a time: open organizations, identity, compensation, agent payments, governance, and public intelligence. Further dates and hosts will be announced.
